DOUBLE-WIN FOR THE EXEMPLARY EV6 AT AUTO TRADER NEW CAR AWARDS 2024

The Kia EV6 has once again showcased its prowess at the Auto Trader New Car Awards 2024, clinching not just one but two prestigious titles: ‘Best Car for Families’ and ‘Best Car for Dog Owners’.

What sets the Auto Trader New Car Awards apart is their unique approach to determining winners. Unlike traditional awards, where industry insiders have the final say, Auto Trader lets the real experts speak—car owners themselves. This year, over 200,000 UK car owners participated in an online survey, sharing their candid thoughts and experiences, which ultimately decided the winners across 20 of the 23 award categories, including both accolades won by Kia EV6.

Since its launch in 2021, the Kia EV6 has been making waves in the automotive world. It was the pioneer in donning the new Kia badge, marking a significant milestone in Kia’s rebranding journey. Now, three years down the line, the EV6 continues to amass accolades from top-tier publications worldwide.

The EV6 boasts an impressive real-world range of up to 328 miles on a single charge, spacious seating for five, ultra-fast charging capabilities, and a diverse range of trim levels. These features have resonated strongly with UK customers, who have lauded the EV6 for its family-friendly attributes and its suitability for canine companions, earning it recognition in both major categories.

Erin Baker, Auto Trader’s Editorial Director, praised the EV6’s double-win, highlighting its blend of practicality, cutting-edge technology, striking aesthetics, and delightful driving experience. Owners have commended its ease of driving and comfort, with one owner remarking on the “smoothness of driving experience” and the “amazing interior space for passengers, including four-legged friends.”

Last year, Kia’s EVs also made a splash at the Auto Trader New Car Awards, with the Soul EV clinching the title of ‘Best Value Electric Car,’ while the EV6 secured the coveted ‘New Car of the Year’ award.

The EV6 has set the stage for Kia’s expanding range of EVs in the UK, with plans to introduce 15 EV models globally by 2027, nine of which will hit UK shores. Following the footsteps of its acclaimed predecessors, the EV3 is set to make its debut later this year, continuing Kia’s legacy of innovation and excellence in the electric vehicle domain.
